Refined Style Essentials: The Pocket Square

The pocket square is a great accessory to help compliment or offset a look. There are no rules to wearing a pocket square which makes it that much more fun to wear. To me, the perfect phrase to describe a pocket square is “the finishing touch”. Think about it, the pocket square is usually the last thing you put on when wearing a blazer/suit, like the icing on the cake. It is not mandatory for a pocket square to match or blend with your outfit. The pocket square has its own personality, its own purpose and its own goal.

A pocket square is generally worn as a compliment to a tie and or socks to bring accordance to your total outfit. The hidden beauty of the pocket square is that the color and design has the option of having absolutely nothing to do with your outfit. The pocket square also brings attention to whatever suit,  jacket, or blazer that you are wearing.

Whatever you wear, however you wear it. Always remember to wear it with confidence.
