Spring Forward In Bold Palettes

The time has come to fall back with dark hues and layers of clothing while springing forward in vibrant palettes and light weight transitional pieces. Spring is such a visually beautiful season. Watching the flowers IMG_1685-2bloom and the sun shine longer should awaken our inner fashion senses to liven up your wardrobe. This is the time to begin playing with various color combinations and replacing heavy with lightweight fabrics.

IMG_1758Transitional pieces including blazers, thin sweaters, and chinos should be staples in every man’s closet. As blazers replace heavy coats, opt for styles in cotton, linen, or woven fabrics for Spring. If your personal style is on the classic side, try traditional stripes and modest plaids in softer color palettes. You can never go wrong with solid neutrals, adding a personal touch with printed pocket squares. For the trend setting man, go bright go bold! Update the classic suit in statement making prints and solids. It’s perfectly fine to mix and match shades as long as a neutral is incorporated, be it a shirt or shoe.

Chinos are timeless and can be worn throughout the seasons. Retailers are offering this classic staple in a wide range of soft and bold color-ways. Chinos are an easy piece to style as they can be paired with a casual white t-shirt and a blazer or a thin sweater layered over a button down shirt. Whichever the styling preference, keep it cool by choosing a Spring friendly color palette.

Spring is a transitional clothing season and light weight fabrics and cool colors are important. The classic man that may be afraid of color should freshen up his wardrobe by updating his go-to pieces in new fabrics appropriate for the warm weather. Not afraid to stand out? Brighten up a basic tee and denim outfit with a blazer in a print or vibrant shade. All you need is a pop of color to bring life into a wardrobe full of Fall’s dark washes.
